Scientific and Evidence-Based Curriculum Design
OAC’s curriculum is grounded in the principles of neuroplasticity, cognitive behavioural science, and metacognition to create learning experiences that are transformative.
Our focus on goal-setting and micro-habit formation helps students develop the skills and mindset needed to achieve long-term success. Whilst specially developed tools like HARK, personalise the learning journey, ensuring that students stay engaged and make consistent progress.
2
Imagication: Learning Beyond the Ordinary
Imagication is at the heart of the OAC experience. It’s a fusion of imagination and education, where language learning becomes a vivid, immersive adventure.
We use narrative-based learning to help students see language as more than just words. Visualisation to bring goals to life. Role-playing, simulations, and unexpected moments to help students step into new worlds, using English in real-life scenarios that make learning both practical and exciting.
3
Expert Mentorship: Guiding the Journey
OAC students are mentored by some of the brightest minds from Cambridge and Oxford, specialists who bring diverse academic backgrounds to the table.
Unlike other programmes where one instructor leads 30+ students, OAC classes are split into mentoring groups with a student to mentor ratio of 6:1.
Our focused, personalised attention, allows mentors to build a deep understanding of each student’s goals and challenges, to help them develop faster.
4
Hands-On Discovery: Learning Through Experience
Learning happens through doing. That’s why your programme is rich with hands-on activities that require you to apply your English skills in diverse, often challenging, contexts.
Whether you’re building a memory palace with the Cambridge University Magic Society, engaging in scientific exploration, or participating in leadership workshops, you’ll use English in ways that deepen your understanding and fluency. This approach ensures that your new knowledge is not just memorised but truly internalised.

Measuring Personal Growth and Effectiveness
If OAC is the only EFL programme you’ve seen that collects real impact data: it’s probably because OAC is the only EFL programme that makes real impact.
The cornerstone of our impact assessment is the ROPELOC psychometric instrument.
This widely recognised tool measures 14 key areas of personal ability, including self-confidence, leadership, time management, organisational skills, and overall life effectiveness. Our research has shown that students who complete the OAC programme experience significant improvements across these areas, with a large combined effect size of 0.832.
This means that the changes are not only statistically significant but also practically meaningful—students leave our programme better equipped to take on the challenges of both their academic and personal lives.
